Nova Star to shine in the Grade A1 420 metres at Peterborough on 23rd May
The Grade A1 420 metres flat at Peterborough will be contested by Garlyn Story, Superstar Tina, Nova Star, Cant Sit Still, Blu Lightning and Harry Up. The £98 race will be held on Wednesday, 23rd May.
The most accomplished entry for the race is Nova Star, Head Bound’s four-year-old black daughter out of b***h, Lady Nova. She scored second in her seasonal debut on 21st January at Peterborough. She timed the 420 metres in 26.55 seconds.
The race was won by Cloncunny Peach after racing for 26.43 seconds.
Her seasonal win was in the Grade A1 Jamie Lamb 20th Birthday Stakes on 28th January at Peterborough over 420 metres. Nova Star won the race in 25.95 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Shes Ok, by 2 ¼ lengths.
The evening’s favourite of the race, Boherduff King, concluded the race in the end.
She posted a couple in by winning a Grade A1 420 metres flat on 17th February at Peterborough. She reached the other end of the wire in 25.70 seconds and led the 2/1 favourite runner up of the race, Moss Row Mark, by a short head’s difference.
Concluding the race third in line was Lieutenant Dan.
After losing three more races, she won the Grade S2 the Smurfit Kappa ‘Make It Happen’ Stakes on 23rd March at Peterborough over 605 metres. She was done racing in 38.42 seconds and took charge of the final ¾ of a length.
Finishing the closest was Barbies Moonbeam. The 2/1 favourite of the race, Goosetree Flash, ended third.
21st April saw her winning a Grade A1 420 metres at Peterborough after she had raced for 26.16 seconds and had the 5/4 favourite of the race, Ballybunion Ace, in the runner up’s slot.
Her last two attempts were wins and she is aiming for a win tonight.
She was the 2/1 joint favourite winner of the Grade A1 420 metres flat at Peterborough on 12th May. She completed the trip in 25.93 seconds and led the field by a short head.
Her most recent success was in the Grade A1 the Toby Markham Birthday Stakes on 18th May at Peterborough over 420 metres. Nova Star timed the track distance in 25.59 seconds and set the ½ favourite of the race as the runner up.
She has all the chances of bagging a seasonal hat trick tonight.
