Novak Djokovic's ball bouncing routine ....?

I am a fan of Djokovic but i get annoyed when he starts bouncing the ball 20 times before he serves ...

Does he annoy you too ???

gets trite after a while.

i don't like it when he does this either but it really helps him focus and it also put the other player off so i guess it's a win win

Yep, it's mad-annoying.  I try to watch his stroke production to get the 'feel' of his rhythm and his swing, but I always, always get distracted by the bounces.  

It probably throws off the rhyhtm of the returner as well, because of instead of watching his toss and trying to read it, you're just thrown off by all the bounces.

The first paragraph reads like a g*y-p**n narrative doesn't it?

I don't mind it but there are times when I go like "oh no, he might get a warning soon" or you might hear the crowd getting a bit restless. It also costed him the match at the sony ericsson open. He got a warning in the 3rd set and he was rattled after that and then he lost. Surprising for a guy that held his own at the aussie open 08 (where he also recd a warning) against Fed.

I don't mind it at all.  Actually, I used to be as bad as him with it.  There was one time in high school that my friends counted me bounce it 47 times.  Now, that's a bit much.  I've chopped it down to 5 bounces now, every time.

But he's just trying to gather himself for the next point.  He's probably even planning what's going to happen that point.  And it's also easy to forget what's going on when you are that focused.  You don't even realize how long you've been bouncing the ball.

I don't mind. It tells me he's taking his time to play his best tennis. If he took that long and was throwing in double faults then I'd be annoyed.
