Novak Djokovic and David Nalbandian ready to lead their teams in the semi-finals of the Davis Cup
Tennis aces are now ready to rumble for the prestigious Davis Cup in the semi finals stage. Veteran tennis players like Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer will now battle for their countries in the Davis cup.
The runner-up and finalist of the recent US Open Grand Slam Novak Djokovic will play for Serbia in the semi-final against Czech Republic. Djokovic who has performed remarkably well in the Davis Cup is well ready for the semi-final. While talking about his
aims and focus for the tournament Djokovic told the media that the whole Serbian nation is backing the Serbian tennis team and the huge support is giving them a confidence boost, which is no doubt a wonderful feeling for them. While talking about the semi-final
match against the Czech team the current World number two expressed his views and said that the Czech team is the last year’s runner up team, is a strong proof of their abilities and capacity. It is also to be remembered that the Czech team is led by the veteran
Tomas Berdych who is this year’s Wimbledon finalist. Novak Djokovic showed his eagerness and high spirits for the upcoming matches by saying that the Serbian national team is ready to compete against Czech Republic in Belgrade. Later he added that the defeat
against Rafael Nadal in the US Open final will not affect his brilliant form and all of his focus is now towards the upcoming matches.
On the other hand, tennis super star Roger Federer who suffered from a crucial defeat against Djokovic in the US open will miss the Switzerland’s playoff match against Kazakhstan for the sake of rest. While talking about his current form and performance
in the US Open, the current world number three expressed his views pretty confidently and told the media that he is very satisfied with the way he has performed in the Grand Slam, and he needs some time to relax before getting into another tournament. Later
