Novak Djokovic is not getting the coverage he deserves – Tennis Special

World number one, Novak Djokovic, is technically sidelined from the limelight of news and the two inferior ranked arch rivals, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, has taken over the hype. It must be hurting to someone who is eyeing
the fourth straight Grand Slam title in the Roland Garros French Open 2012.
There is some history in the making and everyone is talking about the blue clay court controversy and how Nadal will climb back to the number two spot. This is harsh on the number one especially when he has the most beautiful girlfriend
cheering for her from the box; have some respect for the lady, praise her beauty and the game play of his man, don’t just ignore the two like that.
Oh wait, people are so immune to something called consolation; Djokovic’s grandfather died in the last month and no tennis reporter covered anything about that news. This is insane; Djokovic’s grandfather was his hero. He used
to walk with him all night long just to share everything he had on his mind. They were best friends and the Serb must be heartbroken at his departure. World number one has lost his inspiration and that will definitely affect his upcoming performance in the
tournaments.
Ok, coming back to the Serb, there is something unique about him; he is slim (not buffed up like Nadal) but still owns such stamina that helps him fight over the period of 6 hours (the Australian Open final). He stated that his
feet were bleeding at the end of the match and they must because humans are supposed to act like humans not aliens. It is insane to contest such a long match because it will only reduce the number of years in your career.
Nadal has built up his game style that forces him to grind his body but Djokovic should take care of his physique. He is not able to meet the likes of Nadal when it comes to power, he should try to invest more time in learning
drop shots and bring guile into his play; otherwise he will just ruin his career playing long matches and hurting his body.
So, talking about Djokovic, he should be given respect and not treated like any other player at the tennis circuit. All this hype about Federer and Nadal should incorporate a lot about him as well. It hurts when someone talk about
Federer being a legend and coming back to reclaim his throne. Okay we get it but what about the one who is already number one. People just tend to forget everything one has done over the past year.
Djokovic is the defending champion is Rome. No one is talking anything about that and everyone is worried about how Nadal will reclaim his number two spot by winning the title in Rome. I can accept the fact that the Spaniard is
King of Clay but still Djokovic is the defending champion; something should be said about him even if it’s just a single line at the end.
Come on Nole, your reports might be less but your fans are still in millions.
