Novak Djokovic makes it to the final of 2010 ATP China Open
World number two Novak Djokovic has cruised into the final of the 2010 ATP China Open singles Men’s Competition today by defeating the American tennis player John Isner. The match lasted two sets in a time period of 87 minutes. The final score was 7-6(1),
6-2 in favour of Novak.
The young Serb, owing to his victory has extended his match record 8-0 in China. The right-hander tennis player is in high hopes for capturing eighteen ATP World Tour title of his professional career and marks his name as the second contender of ATP World
Tour 500 to grab continuous trophies on hard court. Earlier, Roger Federer, the Swiss tennis maestro had the royal to capture the titles in a row from 2003-2005.
The 23-year-old top seeded Djokovic is coming off his final run at the year’s final Grand Slam, 2010 US Open in New York, where he earlier faced defeat at the hands of the top tennis player Rafael Nadal. While reaching for the finals, Djokovic came across
Viktor Troicki, Philipp Petzschner, James Blake, Mardy Fish, Gael Monfils as well as Roger Federer, only to get the better of them. The 23-year-old player has also helped his native country in the Davis Cup tournament.
Novak nailed his 30th hard surface win of this season in Beijing, China after giving his rival a total of five mind blowing aces. The Serb won 77 percent of his service game points and converted three of twelve break point chances against the
American on today.
