I'm still cut from Nole losing. Then now Masha. What kind of Wimbledon is this? Thank God Ana is still there.

Anyway check out the above link. It was just days before Wimby. There both gone by the second round. WTF!

  1. With Novak he just ran up against her very worthy, talented player in Safin in a round 2 match that could usually be played out as at least a quarter. Only due to safins struggles last 2 years, and his recent mild surge, was this a mild surprise. Not to mention Novak appeared flat, bothered. As for Maria, the over rated Maria, she once again showed her inconsistencies and lack of comfortable movement. Credit her opponent for having a successful game plan and hitting deep consistently knowing it bothers Sharapova to hit from that length.

  2. Wimbledon is not Marias game.  It is for anyone who wants it enough to work for it and who has talent.  I am sorry Novak lost but I like Safin as well but I was happy to see Sharapova lose and to someone who is 25 in her own country.  She must be the laughing stock of the Russians as they are treated so shabbily and Sharapova gets all the rewards.

  3. I know.. who would have predicted this, especially when so many were saying that they were going to be this years champions.

For Novak... It was a shock that a guy like Safin beat him this easily.

As for Maria... as I said in another post, I am not too surprise by this result. I remember how much trouble Alla Kudryavtseva give Venus in the first round at Wimbledon last year, so I knew that this could be an interesting match to watch. Of course I expected Maria to win, but I just had a feeling that this was going to be a big upset.

There are just some players, regardless of what their rank, you get the sense that they believe they have the game and the mental toughness to withstand the top players. That's the impression I got from Alla last year when she sent Venus to three sets and again this year with Maria. She stepped on that court today, and from the very first point, you just knew she believed!!!! And that's all that really matters after everything is said and done.

  4. LOL...Ana may not be there for too long. and We're all happy that those two lost. Talk too much

  5. I honestly don't know what the heck happened with Maria... she should have won! I've never heard of this woman before! Novak didn't play well and Safin, given all the credit, took full advantage of that. Maria makes too many unforced errors. I'm surprised that they both lost, but happy that Novak lost and unhappy that Sharapova lost. She's so hot!! =D

  6. Wow. Now Ana's out! This is definately the tournament of the upsets. OMG, they might be romanticly attracted! That is sweet, but it's Wimbledon! They should be hitting balls, not hitting ON EACH OTHER. This is for sure one of the reasons why they did so badly this year at Wimby, even though they've had great seasons so far.
