  1. My thought is there is no shame in losing to Safin. Come hardcourt season he will be kicking Nadal's butt down the ranking so enjoy it while you can. The tournament is not over yet so maybe you shouldn't be gloating until Nadal wins because when he loses I'm gonna be there to rub it in

  2. Well, it happens - it may be a lesson to him, and maybe next year he'll let his tennis do the talking!!!

  3. That's how tennis is.  Most top players tend to take the other guys and girls out to the top ten for granted and then many times these players surprise them.  Safin is a great player it's just that he is so unstable nobody seems to know what they will get when he shows up.  He is so erratic that nobody really worries about his game anymore but he came out to play today and Djokovic got whipped.

  4. He'll redeem himself in the US Open Series and US Open. Safin is good, but not good enough to beat players as good or better than Djokovic on a regular basis.

  5. what a loser lost in three sets hahaha jerk off

  6. nadal just like his fans...sux

  7. Well, so much for him challenging Federer.  He won't even get a chance.  I'm worried for Nadal as well when he meets Gulbis tomorrow.  Gulbis is very strong especially on this surface so I hope Nadal pulls through though.  I think if Nadal's serve doesn't fail him, it's all about who takes the tie break cuz I don't think Nadal will get a crack on Gulbis' serve either.

  8. Wimbledon has always favored the huge serve and volley guys.  Novak's strenghts as a tennis player don't really get to emerge here on the grass as the points are probably too short for his taste.  I still believe he will be the next long-term #1 when Roger starts slipping as he has a great all around game, fights for points and makes you work pretty hard to beat him.  I'm not really a fan of his, but I think I've seen enough tennis to hopefully provide a decent answer.

  9. thats what you get for b i t c  h i n g about fed. Anyway there were glimpses of the old Safin today which made me realize "hey if this guy gets to the quarter-final stage playing the way he is and more, then who knows he could cause fed some trouble." but fed will win his 6th crown.

  10. It's quite sad i think! i quite like him, he has charisma. Glad rafa's still in though, he's my favourite :-)

  11. karma! he shouldve never said anything about federer being vulnerable because hes the one who turned out to be vulnerable. but u got to give credit to safin, he played very well :)

  12. Novak Chokociv?

  13. I feel quite bad for him.  He just wasn't playing his best tennis today and you could tell he was getting quite frustrated at himself.  Still, all credit to Safin, he played a great match.  Although i would have liked to see Djokovic going through =))

    Rafa to win!!! :-))

  14. He can't beat his teacher. safin is Djokovic's teacher. how can student beat his teacher. safin sacrifice himself to make djokovic this much great.

  15. So many people pinned their hopes on him, he just wasn`t with it today was he?

  16. a second round straight set exit for the man who said he has a great chance to end Fed's Wimbledon streak.  The guy wins one major and now he thinks he's all that. He can't even take the #2 ranking from Nadal.  He had several chances earlier this year.
