Novalia Agustianti tames Anai Yuki in Women’s Singles first round at Jakarta Open 2013
Indonesia’s emerging shuttler Novalia Agustianti started her journey in Women’s Singles round in a positive manner as she easily tamed her team-mate Anai Yuki at the DJARUM SIRKUIT NASIONAL Li Ning Jakarta Open 2013 on Wednesday, May 15, in Jakarta.
The un-seeded Novalia, who has been looking for a chance to prove her worth in a major tournament, played with her superb speed and attacking skills and remained successful in grabbing a comprehensive victory in 35 minutes.
Novalia was in superb form as she did not miss any chance to build her lead and maintain it all the way. She remained in complete command of the game and won the match in a fascinating manner with a huge margin of 21-9 and 21-13.
Anai, on the contrary, could not put up strong show as she committed many errors by playing negative shots. She ultimately bowed down against her in-form opponent in straight games.
It was a crunchy fight in the starting rallies but soon Novalia took over the control of the pace by showing her impressive attacking skills. She started to construct lead by playing aggressive badminton.
