Novalist likely to thrive in Aeropak Handicap
The Robin Bastiman trained chestnut gelding, Novalist , is keen to capitalise on his pleasant experience of the last start in a bid to notch up top post in the Aeropak Handicap that will be held at Yarmouth racecourse on Tuesday, July 17. The Class 6 contest over 6 furlongs and 3 yards will begin at 6:50 (GMT).
It is for the fourth time in his 20-race career that the four-year-old veteran horse will run on a soft ground. His first ever outing over there was Win A Vip Day Out @ Redcarracing.CO.UK Handicap, held on June 18----the brilliant sprinter nicely finished first in that race.
The Ms M. Austerfield owned runner moved on to do well in the next two races too. Despite all this, the biggest morale booster for the gelding was his marvellous victory in the 19-runner event of Go Racing At Beverley Tomorrow Handicap that took place at Thirsk on June 25. He stunned the punters by winning without a favourite tag. That was indeed a glorious performance.
As a whole, the son of Avonbridge out of Malelane has three victories to his name. He is going to run at Yarmouth for the very first time in his career. Let us see how he manages the situation.
Among the other runners, Mucky Molly is one who can prove to be a threat for Novalist. The Olivia Maylam trained chestnut filly elegantly finished first in her last start entitled as Hardings Catering Handicap (Div II), beating the hot favourite candidate Whiteoak Lady. That race was held at Brighton on July 3.
Earlier, the P. Sweeting owned fantastic filly had registered a runner-up position in the 14-race event of Angela Nicholls “Don’T Disclose I’M 40” Handicap, held at Lingfield on June 16.
As far as the Aeropak Handicap is concerned, Mucky Molly will show a big run and try to impede Novalist under William Carson who is going to drive her for the very first time.
Novalist, running under Darryll Holland, will make every possible attempt to defend himself. Thus, a thrilling and rip-roaring clash will be witnessed today. Let us see who carries the day.
