Novice computer user here with a WARNING to others. I downloaded Antivirus XP 2008 ?

I downloaded Antivirus XP 2008 via a link I got here on answers only to find it to be a hoax site. I am unable to remove the program from my computer now. I was looking for a free antivirus to run as a novice I was directed to a list free antivirus site. I am in trouble now the hoax software Antivirus XP 2008 keeps popping up with un closable windows, " I am moving them out of the way in order to type". can anyone please help me. It has to be for free as I am not to flush with money?

i've seen this on a few computers now. spybot did great on all of them
