Its a vintage zenith from the 1940's or 50's with two speeds - 10 and 12. Does it play 45's 33's or 78's and what's the difference? A recently purchased album sounds like mickey mouse when played. Wanting to buy some records that will be compatible and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

  1. well it will play 78's for sure and it may have the other speeds. you need to look for a speed selector switch some ware on the player.

  2. Take a look at this website and see if it helps you.

  3. I believe the two settings you mention are for disc size, not speed. It should play 78 and 33 1/3 albums and possibly the 45's depending on the date of manufacture. There has been a real revival in the popularity of vinyl lately. Google vintage vinyl and you should be able to find a number of selections to chose from.
