now, in US houses prices dropping, consumer spending less, etc... many bad things are happening but the Fed just cutting the interest rates? is their any activity to solve the subprime crisis?

The economy is like anything else. It has to run in cycles. When the economy is too good, people don't value their jobs and the level of quality and service suffer. this is a kind of correction to our economy, and is a good thing.
