  1. We've never defeated Russia, and we certainly haven't won the hearts or minds of anyone in the Middle East, so I say never.  I'm not a violent person, but my brother said it best "Nuke 'em all, we can drill for oil through glass". Perhaps Russia would get back in the box then.

It's all completely stupid.  Even my suggestion.

  2. If Russia is "rattling the saber", then America has already since unsheathed her katana and beheaded several peasants.

Consider that Russia intervened in the South Ossetian conflict against Georgia, a tiny country that has been politically unstable ever since their independence.

Meanwhile, NATO has exploded to a bloated size. In the Kosovo conflict, they intervened and bombed the c**p out of Serbia. Not to mention the whole Afghanistan issue, and the American-led and unwarranted invasion of Iraq...

  3. pshh you've been watching CNN to much thats all they've been sayin  is the Russian bear is back and theres nothing the US deployed troops all across Europe we have.....not to mention NATO.......the Russian bear may be back but there is plenty we can do about it....can do well....the media are idiot they seem to forget about the 400000

  4. never.  Russia tried to take on afghanistan and failed.  Maybe if we had not help Ben ladin russia would have crushed the radical islamist.  Now  they will join with russia.

  5. Not as soon as we would like to..  It is easier to get into war than to stop one.  We might be able to "Iraq to bed" first but the Iranians with Russian encouragement and support could derail that effort.  At the moment Afghanistan seems to be more open ended..  While I don't believe we are losing there we don't seem to be losing either.  Iran could be the X factor here as well..

  6. You don't regard the USA invading two countries that posed no threat as rattling the sabre?

Halliburton is currently building 14 permanent US military bases throughout Iraq. There isn't going to be any "putting it to bed".
