and what of cubs meeting them? i think it will happen! for you red sox fans: boo hoo! no world series this year! in fact, it will be rays and yankees ahead of the red sox!! ha! ha!! boston has no! chance of beating angels in playoffs for once!

I'm truly sorry to all the true Angels fans who have to put up with your c**p. I can tell you still have some left over anger from the 2004 and 2007 ALDS. (We beat Oakland in 2003, right?)

The Red Sox were the strongest team in the American League until recently since we've been falling apart mid season. Leaving runners on base, having starting pitchers blow up around the 5th or 6th inning, having a bullpen not be able to hold the other team to 1 or fewer runs, having to deal with Manny right now, etc... has really messed us up. I'm not crying, however, as your question implied, because we've won 2 World Series in the last 4 years, so it's not like we come close and then fail every time. We have work to do this off season.

But it's not for sure that the Yankees and Rays will finish ahead of us, and h**l, who knows, if we were to face you, we might beat you. October is a whole new season, and the Sox are a team that have beaten the odds in October. I hope the 2004 ALCS taught you that we never say never.
