who do you see getting wildcard in tight!! amercian league? twins, rays, red sox, rangers and yankees are all in it!

Yea, they will get the wild card spot. Sox take the division, however.

I think that the Yankees have a good chance at the Wild Card, however, I think that either the Rays or Red Sox will win the division.

They do indeed have a chance. I don't believe that they can stay as hot as they are now for that long. they did last year, but that was without Tampa Bay in the division. They just don't have the pitching. Chamberlain will not throw another shutout any time soon, and Kennedy and Hughes didn't pan out like they were supposed to. Plus, their bullpen is not that great. They have no middle relief and no set up man.

i think they have an amazing shot. They are getting better, and the Red Sox have been struggling. Right now the Yankees pitching is fantastic form the starters to the bullpen. And the eating is remarkable too. They may even be making a deal for the Left Handed Jarrod Washburn from Seattle. I think that they will even be there running for the division at the end of the year.

The Rays are going to fall off the charts int he next few weeks. The Sox will take the division and the Yankees will take the wildcard, regardless both teams will be int he playoffs.

Yanks will get the WC and the Sox will win the division.  The Yanks are only 3 back, but they have a very tough road schedule.  They have 2 10 game road trips that go to the West coast.  And check out the road trip that starts Sept 1.  They fly to Detroit for 1 game, and then to Tampa for 3 games, followed by 3 games in Seattle and finishing up with 3 games in LA.  And they don't have any days off during this stretch.  In fact, they've got to play 22 days in a row and have to spend a tremendous amount of time on planes.

It's a murderous stretch of a schedule.

The only reason that the get the WC is because the Rays also have a tough schedule coming up, althoug not as hard as the Yanks, but they are young and won't be able to cope with the stress.  Look for the Rays to content next year.

I believe they will get in not with their offense,but with their pitching.Mussina and Mariano Rivera are having unbelievable seasons,Mussina on the verge of becoming a 20-game winner.Sidney Ponson is also having a great year so far with the Yankees.They have a very solid rotation,but I think the main thing they lack is that big bat.Other than that,I do believe they can get in.

I still say the Yankees not only have a shot at play offs but the AL East division title.  Considering they were once in 5th place in division, the Yankees have moved up quite a bit & will contend the rest of the season whether the haters want to accept it or not.
