Don't underestimate the media's ability to hide the good news, especially in an election year. You will likely not hear much news that could help a conservative candidate.

The links you supplied are from well known propaganda sites as well. The Iraq war has been a terrible experience for many people, but let's not make it worse by ignoring the few signs of improvement.

Since it is an election year, Bush has the troops holed up in the Green Zone.

He did the same thing back in 2004 after he prematurely claimed "Mission Accomplished" the last time.

He has Maliki out there making the monthly payments, funded with US tax Dollars, to the "Awakening Councils" so they will not kill the American occupation forces.

Bush's war won't be over for 100 years if he and his buddy McCain have their way.

Remember the "Permanent Bases" that Bush and his Rubberstamp Republicans called for.

Soon-to-be-President Obama agrees with the American public and the people and government of Iraq that it is time to bring the occupation forces home and let them get on with rebuilding their country.

That's why they denied Bush's ploy to get them to sign a "security agreement" that does not include a timetable.
