Now it says registry edit has been disabled?

i tried going to start then run and typed in regedit

then it said registry edit has been disabled by your administrator. Now what do I do? I'm tryin to put my control panel back on my computer. And also on the internet, I went to tools and my internet options is missing. How do I get that back, also?

  1. If you login as power user, you cannot install programs or edit the registry.

    You must login as administrator in order to have the rights to edit registry and install programs.

    internet options missing? wtf? maybe a bad virus? run a scan and see if anything comes up..

    Maybe your computer had problems with virus or you don't have admin rights. So try this:

    1. Scan all system with the latest antivirus.

    2. Download Fast Unlock Kool at http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Syst... it no need install, run it & unlock your registry.

    If you have Admin Rights, uhm.. thinking...

    3. Start up your computer & pufh F8 button continuously, choose safe mode, wait a minute it'll show all accounts in this computer, try log in with Admin Account (often no pass here) & go to control panel --> user accounts --> choose your account & change it to Admin Rights.

    Restart your computer.
