  1. These days, if people want to go to church, they can do so on Saturday evenings, Sunday evenings, some on Wednesday nights ... it's not just Sunday mornings any more.  So even if one is employed in a store, one can get to church sometime, if they want to.

  2. Sunday IS Shopping Day

    Let's go girls .

  3. This argument has rolled on for years even when the 7th day adventists did have control of Sunday trading.  The real reason for church poverty  and closures is because the congregations mainly are tight fist-ed and do not put enough in the offertory. There is one i know of who only places 20p in every Sunday.

Yes! i do know the story  of the widows mite, but that was "just". This situation is entirely different. Another reason is that the churches now seem to be used by the

masses only for the, (hatch, match, and dispatch) ceremonies .

If you want to keep these institutions, then support them.

  4. no because lots of old people go to church still

  5. the reason why churches are against 7 day weeks has little to do with money or insurance claims

it is about the commandment in the bible where people are told to keep the sabbath day holy - and for those who are non religious it is a family day too so they can benefit too

what some object to (regarding 'choice' about working on sundays) is that if the subject gets bought up at an interview the job offer becomes CONDITIONAL on being available sundays - where are the laws to protect against that happening?
