  1. Pete Rose... oops, wrong Sport.

Gary Clark, WR, Washington & Phoenix.

    Look at his numbers.

btw -- Fred Dean played for the Redskins in '88 Super Bowl ('87 Season) -

But, they only mention him with the Chargers and 2 Rings with the 49'ers - What's up with that ??

    .

  2. Andre Reed: 951 career receptions (#5) all time

    13198 career rec yards (#8), 87 TDs receiving (#10)

  3. Randall McDaniel, Derrick Thomas and Cris Carter, which was dumb voting Monk and not Carter only because Monk had waited for too long.

    (EDIT)

People who say Jerry Rice, Barry Sanders (inducted in 2004), Bruce Smith. The guy said ELIGIBLE players NOT THERE.

My reason to say that Cris Carter was better than Monk. And I won't mention numbers because they played in different decades.

The championship rings argument in WRs is c**p and I love it because it comes from someone who thinks that Barry Sanders has not been inducted yet. Does it mean that Troy Brown or Deion Branch are better than Tim Brown and Steve Largent because they won rings?

Art Monk led the league in receptions, and any receicing category, only once in 1984. He was All Pro only once and made to 3 Pro Bowls despite he was in better teams and had better QBs throwing to him (yes, Theisman would have been a HOFer if he had not suffered the devastating injury).

On the other hand, Cris Carter was 3 times All Pro, made to 8 Pro Bowls, led the league in receptions also once and receiving TDs three times. His best QB was a 38-year old Warren Moon, the others were Wade Wilson who sucked and a Rich Gannon who ran the ball most of the time but had not developped as a passer.

  4. tim your crazy if you dont think barry isn't in the hall yet he was a first balloter no doubt

best out there is Bruce Smith one of the best de's ever he has the record for most career sacks

  5. to me it would have to be Jerry Rice he wasn't inducted yet but he will be he was the best receiver to ever play the game he holds pretty much every receiving record to date Touchdowns (209) Receiving Yards(22,895) Receptions (1,549) 13 time Pro Bowler 3 Super Bowl rings he to me has the best shot at being inducted

  6. Probably Barry Sanders (If he isn't in)

*....and thanks for the Monk props!

*ok, I just thought I heard someone on TV over the weekend say Barry wasn't in yet. Sorry for sounding stupid, I thought it was crazy as soon as I heard it. Bruce Smith will be elligible next year.

*James Arthur Monk was better than any of those guys Diego. Art is among the top 5 wide recievers ever. He was the best at his position, other than Rice, throughout his career. How many superbowls did the cokehead Carter win? ......and how did the cokehead Michael Irvin get in before Art Monk??!!

*I WILL CHANGE MY OPINION SINCE OBVIOUSLY SANDERS IS IN. CHRIS CARTER IS PROBABLY THE BEST PLAYER NOT YET IN, HOWEVER, HE IS NOT DEFINETELY NOT MORE DESERVING THAN JAMES ARTHUR.
