Yes they will.

Todays paper here in Birmingham had 2 articals on him.This fish wrap is becoming puppy pen fodder.

Junior is good but is not now nor will he be in the same class as his father.The media is attempting to market him as the savior of NASCAR and he is just another of the 43 drivers in the field where it is fixed for 35 drivers to play an not work for their starting spots.

You mean just like for the past two weeks we've had to hear about Shurb and his triple header weekend?  And before that how Shurb is winning all the races, Shurb this and Shurb that....

DW might as well had Shurb's t******e in his cheek for those 3 or 4 months Fox did the races..

What about hearing non-stop about LaGonzo?  I don't think the coverage is quite as skewwed as you might think..

We will have to put up with it for another 80ish races, probably. All these new fans will tune in and see them talking about him and automatically jump on the bandwagon.

Do you watch or read anything about Nascar?. If you look at the big picture, Jr. talk is not non-stop. They talk about everything. There are some programs that barely even mention his name, except in passing here and there. There are other things going on that the fans do care about. And Jr fans are not only Jr. fans, but they are also Nascar fans, and want to hear about other things going on around the track.

1) 3rd in points. A Chase contender.

2) Having a consistent season

They talk about other drivers all the time.

If you ever watched a NASCAR broadcast, ESPN, SPEED TV, you would know that. But I guess it's easier to just jump on the hatermobile and form all your opinions there.

The only reason that there is so much hype is because he is the most popular driver and so many people like him. It's because he IS a skilled driver. When a skilled driver goes winless, lots of attention is put on them. Look at Jeff Gordon. Lots of c**p about him. When he wins, there will be a lot of talk.

PS. The off-weeks are when the media are SUPPOSED to talk about the winner. Next week they will be blabbering on about whoever wins Infineon.
