My classmate was chosen for this special annual position. Can you, Manila citizens, or even concerned members of any community, give suggestions and necessary improvements to make her stay at the seat of power effective and worthwhile? She is an empowered student leader, excellent in all areas, both academic and extracurricular, that are entrusted to her.

I am asking on her behalf, and I believe in her sincerity and capacity to effect change in every small way. What should she try to achieve/do for the people?

  1. I hate that event, makes kids think that they alone can do a change. manila is like abig cobweb of crime and other stuff. if u managed to cut one line connecting to another, there are still going to be a lot more. change doesnt happen just by being the mayor, a lot of good mayors has come and gone from manila, but not much change. Change can only come from the citizens, and thats where you should try to focus. Manila is not the city, but the people. Change the people first, then lets see what happens.

  2. address the needs of the people especially those in poverty.

reduce if not eliminate lawlessness and increase security in business establishment. stop graft and corruption within her jurisdiction.

  3. Eliminate prostitution and drug addiction.
