Now that I know my wireless is not set up right with connection and password how can it be remedied?

Unplug it all and start over.  Make sure all plugs are where they should be.

There is a router reset at the back of the router.

you can press and hold the reset button on the back for 5 seconds and then the password should be something like Admin. you can also access your router using your browser and your ip address in the URL bar minus the last two numbers
