  1. idk but my parents and stuff are complaining about it big time

  2. He slit his own throat with that pick.  Why would he pick someone with less than 2 years experience for his VP?  Especially with him being 72 and not in good health, people should be FREAKING OUT with the possibility of her having to step in--she knows NOTHING.

  3. Personally, I applaud his choice.  I thought he would choose Romney but I'm delighted that he chose Sarah Palin instead. She's built her reputation facing down special interests groups, including big oil, and also by calling to account those who use the system to advance themselves financially, regardless of the consequences to us, the tax payers.

She brings to the campaign a vibrant personality that should help McCain.  She's a wonderful speaker, not so McCain.

I'm offended by those who insult me as a woman or as a person with intelligence by saying the gender of a candidate determines who gets my vote.  To me, it's a plus that she's a woman but not the critical factor regarding my vote.

On his short list of those being considered, I'm pretty sure being a woman gave her a little weight and fit in with his strategy, but he would not use that as his primary criteria.  She seems to be more conservative than he is.  Perhaps that weighed heavily with him, too, considering there are republicans who believe he's too liberal.

As for experience, she has 14 years more than Obama.

My one concern regarding Sarah Palin is that she and McCain hope to reverse Roe vs Wade.

This is the most interesting presidential campaign in my lifetime.  No matter who wins, this election will make history.

  4. I was hoping he would've done something stupid like choose Lieberman and then I could make up my mind.  But now I can't stop looking at his VP.  I've always had a crush on Tina Fey.  That's it right?

  5. only chanes its hurting is that loser obama's chances !!

  6. Obama has managed to offend residents of small towns and rural America by calling them bitter. He has offended Catholics by calling them backward and accusing them of racism. He chose Biden - a Catholic from tiny Delaware - as his VP in an attempt to reconcile with those groups.

Palin stands for small town and rural America - her favorite meal is moose stew after a day of snowmobiling. She's a Catholic who chose to continue a pregnancy despite being told her baby had Dow's Syndrome. McCain's small town Catholic trumps Obama's.

A good number of Clinton supporters were upset by the way she was treated by Obama, his surrogates, and the press during the primaries. Clinton urged them to support Obama. Palin reminded them that they made 18 million cracks in the glass ceiling and they had the opportunity to shatter it.

Rather than forgiving Obama, small town America, Catholics, and former Clinton supporters are going to be voting McCain/Palin. Palin is the smartest choice McCain could possibly make.

  7. i think so.... it was by far the biggest prof of his lack of judgement and his desperate attempt the get votes...

  8. i think it will hurt his chances but not becasue she is a woman he only did that becasue he wants to stand out and make history like obama is right now and to try to get hillary supporters well im a hillary supporter and i would never vote republican and if you notice mccain likes arm candy look at the reason why he left is first wife and how he was seeing his wife now while he was still married this is the kind of person we want to run the country i would not even want that kind of person in the same room with me let alone putting my life in there hands

  9. His choice was definitely not made on experience but his greed for votes.

  10. Yeah, I think he just handed the election to Obama.

  11. He picked an unknown from a state with insignificant electoral standing, who's facing a crop of corruption scandals, with even less experience than his opponent therefore negating his strongest argument, who is the anti-Hillary and would serve to bulletproof the glass ceiling rather than break it.

  12. No it increases them.

  13. Of course his VP choice will hurt McCain and as much for the way he chose her as anything else. I'd have to say that anyone he had chosen after only meeting them one time calls McCain's judgement into question big time. Why in the world would he pick Palin, after so little first hand interaction with her?

It reminds me of Bush saying he looked into Putin's eyes and knew he was a good person. What???? As it turns out, not true at all. So what is this--some kind of voodoo VP selection process.

I don't want a self-proclaimed soccer mom sitting one illness or accident away from the highest position in America. No how, no way, no McCain!! : o

  14. Yes. I feel that he has shot himself in the foot (or pulled a Cheney and shot her in the face!) because for the longest time the Republicans lashed out at Obama for being inexperienced--then McCain picks Sarah Palin, who has less experience than Obama!

  15. For Republicans he is a hero for picking the 1st girl he saw. He made a slimy sneaky move and some people are just plain blind to it.

  16. I don't believe President McCain will have anything hurt his chances.

  17. You didn't ask a question. You just made a typical liberal statement. How does Palin hurt his chances when all you libs are talking about is her. Obviously a lot of you libs are jealous inside because Republicans are the ones for change while Obama is actually a fraud.

  18. Not even close.  McCain has made a wise choice.  I, for one, am really fired up now.  This will unite the party and get the base out knocking on doors.  The base are the worker bee´s.  They were not excited about McCain before his pick, now we will go out and work hard to gain the Office.

  19. some people are saying now that Clinton is out, all those that were gonna vote for her are gonna vote for Palin now.

but i think no matter who wins the election, we're still screwed.
