  1. Honestly? It's a high-stakes gamble.

If McCain and his new running mate make a good appearance at the Republican convention, and convince others that he picked her for more than just being a woman - then Obama is pretty much dead in the water. If McCain is successful, he's going to be bridging far more than the 4% of the vote that he's now behind in.

If, on the other hand, they make complete fools out of themselves, bragging too much about gender and whatnot, then it's still anybody's game.

  2. It can only help

  3. He doesn't help expand his base because she's only attractive to those who already support him.  He comes off as a manipulator who passed up more known entities.

  4. It will not hurt at all

  5. It seals the election. Wait until you hear her at the convention. She's amazing.

When women find out how amazing she is, they'll want her speaking out on woman's issues on their behalf, even if they don't agree with all of her politics.

  6. It will probably help, but not necessarily.  It definitely won't hurt.  Realistically, people don't care about the VP when they vote on or about election day.  There is already one stuffy old white guy on the ticket; another one wouldn't have added any energy.

This choice has definitely energized the ticket.  I haven't seen this much excitement inside the RNC since that time they almost switched over to the metric system.

  7. I think it's going to hurt him. Palin doesn't have much experience and I believe she has lesser experience than Obama. Plus she's under investigation right now and the Democrats are going to use that against McCain and Palin.

  8. A fine tactical move. People don't need a would be preacher and

and another old dem white guy. The dems missed a chance to put

a woman in the vp slot because they we're scared. Now they can be

a little more frightened.  Their ticket would make more sense

from an experience standpoint if Obama and Biden swapped roles.

This is what the pubs have effectively done, while wooing the

consevatives, women, and Hilary supporters.  By picking Biden,

Obama is backing off from his "change" mantra.

  9. Lots of hurt and anguish coming for him!!!

  10. help
