is pregnant. How can we Americans expect her to know what is going on in the White House when she doesnt even know whats gong on in her own house.

I think she would be a nutcase if she locked her daughter up 24 hours a day to keep her from having s*x.  You are a hypocrite if you can honestly say that you know, at all times, what your children are doing.  

I have a teenager, so I know that it isn't possible to shelter them 24 hours a day.  Until you have one, you have no clue.

I don't think we should be talking about her daughter, but this does put the whole "bad judgment" argument into my mind. Palin instead of teaching her daughter about safe s*x forced nothing but abstinence lessons on her and saw to it schools did too. Don't you think we'd have alot less pregnant teens if we stopped telling them abstinence is the only answer? OBVIOUSLY it doesn't work....

People may jump all over you on this, but I think it is a valid question.

Look, we know she is supermom, but the thing is, I don't think supermom is who I am looking to to lead the country.  Maybe the PTA, but not the White House.

You know what I find funny about your question is that Obama himself said that the children of candidates were off-limits. Millions of american teens become pregnant every single day - as Whoopi said this morning, you can talk to your kids, give them condoms until your red in the face, but they are kids, and more and more are making this mistake everyday.

Also, Obama said his mom was only a year older when she became pregnant with him, and she obviously raised him to be a great man or else he wouldn't be where he is.

You know, when I was a teenager - I was having pre-marital s*x. I thought I was going to marry my highschool boyfriend. We were stupid a lot of times - I was just lucky back then. I'm older and wiser now, but I can tell you that my mom would have fainted and locked me away if she knew half the stuff I was doing. Kids. Make. Mistakes. And you can't blame the parent for what the kid does.

I respect Palin even more knowing this. She isn't hiding her daughter or this situation. Teenage pregnancies happen, unwed pregnancies happen, at least she's doing the responsible thing. I highly doubt that my parents knew what I was doing 100% of the time when I was a teen and I don't think that made them bad parents or untrustworthy people, it just made them parents of a teenager.
