Now that Umenyiora is out how does that change the NFC East?

I was going with the Eagles to begin with (just look at my name), but now I think the Giants might be dead last in the division. The Cowboys will be competitive of course, I'm not saying they won't be, but so will the Redskins for the first time in a while. Without that pass rush from Osi I don't see the Giants doing too well this year. In the past 4 years he's been their leading sacker (70.5! d**n!), and that's a lot to lose. So the way I see it going down is...

Eagles 13-3

Cowboys 12-4

Redskins 11-5

Giants 9-7

What are your opinions? And remember we lost 5 games by 3 points or less, most of it being because of special teams. Now that we have Demps and DeSean Jackson we're going to be a force again.

  1. I thought the Giants were going to suck this year even before Osi got hurt. But I doubt we will finish 13-3 either. I love Philly, but look at our injuries. Dawkins, Brown, Curtis among others. d**n! We still have a great team, and a good shot at making the playoffs. We could go 12-4/11-5. It will probably go:

    Cowboys: 13-3

    Redskins: 11-5

    Eagles: 11-5

    Giants: 8-8

  2. it'll make the giants go 9-7 at best. NO change.

Your crazy to think the Eagles will go 13-3. 11-5 at best.

Dallas has that division, actually they have the NFC covered.

    Redskins last in that division.

    Dallas 13-3

    Eagles 11-5

    Giants 9-7

    Redskins 8-8

  3. The Eagles are not going to go 13-3.  The Cowboys will probably run away with it now and the other three will stuggle and fight for a wild card with their injuries.  The Giants are really in trouble now, their pass rush was the strongest point of their team.

  4. 1. We wont go 13-3. I simply cant see it. 12-4 maybe, but the team of 04 was amazing, I dont believe we have enough fire power as of yet, but maybe next year.

    2. I doubt losing Osi will change the Giants a h**l of a lot. They still have Tuck there and Kiwanuka should be a good enough replacement I believe. Osi will be a loss, but not a hugely massive loss to them. Their pass rush is still amazingly good.

  5. Eagles 12-4

    Cowboys 9-7

    Redskins 9-7

    Giants 8-8

  6. The Eagles will not finish 13-3. And the Skins wont finish 11-5 either..

    Here are my predictions

    Cowboys 14-2

    Giants 10-6

    Eagles 6-10

    Redskins 5-11

  7. Hey, I see your point. I was picking your Eagles to finish ahead of the Giants even BEFORE the Umenyiora injury.

I hate to admit it, but Philly looks good. They did since late last year when McNabb reached full strength from his previous injuries.

Right now, I think both Dallas and the Eagles will be around 11-5. And I think the teams will split against each other (I predict my Cowboys will lose the finale in Philadelphia).

The NFC East will come down to other tiebreakers. Should be a fun season.

  8. yea right cowboys blow out the division, everyone else treads water

  9. With or without Osi the G men are gona be last in the east. They wern't even that good last year but they got hot in the end and the week 17 Patriot game gave them major confidence. I dont see why everyones so high on the Eagles this year. I think they'll make the wildcard if Mcnabb and Westbrook can stay healthy

  10. A. PHILLY, has to get past WASHINGTON, before they deal with the CLASS, of the division. I picked the EAGLES, to finish last, in the NFC EAST. that hasn't changed.

    B. when Strahan, announced His retirement, the GIANTS, drafted 1 DE and, picked up 2 more, in free agency. since Tuck, has proven so good at the

position, those players are still available to step in. although, Mathias Kiwanuka, was originally a defensive end and, I would expect that they would move Him back over and, bring up one of their young linebackers, to fill that void.

I have the EAGLES at 7-9, finishing the season with the #2 quarterback, as usual.

it would take a lot more than one injury to save PHILADELPHIA from the cellar, this season. it would take a plane crash or, two.

  11. Id say a 3 team playoff division again with the eaglea cobows and giants making the playoffs.

    Eagles-12-4

Cowboys-12-4 cowboys nudge out eagles for division title

    Giants-9-7

    Redskins-8-8

The Giants are still a good team w/o Osi and Eli is doing pretty well in pre season.

  12. Umenyiora is the best defensive end ever

  13. ur wishing with the eagles...redskins going to the superbowl

  14. Ok Mr Eagles fan... please DO NOT bring up the fact that the Cowboys havent won a playoff game in 12 yrs.. get ur team to win a SB then talk all the s*it u want..

Im gng to say Dallas and Philly((as much as it pains me to say it b/c I despise the Eagles)) are gng to duke it out for the NFC EAST title... the Giants have Tuck who will help fill out Osi's spot((not as good but he's d**n close)) its gng to be tough for the Giants since it was their defense that won them the SB but they've lost too many key players to win another SB.. I see them finishing at least 9-7.. maybe 8-8 which is still pretty decent.. but winning another SB is not in the cards for them

  15. I can't see us going 13-3 either but I see us going 12-4... having him gone changes the Giants defensive scheme... this is what I see

    1. Cowboys 13-3

    2. Eagles 12-4

    3. Redskins 9-7

    4. Giants 7-9

  16. Cowboys 12 - 4

    Redskins 10 - 6

    Giants       8 - 8

    Eagles      6 - 10

    ...of course that assumes McNabb's season ending injury in week 7.  If he stays healthy the Eagles will go 10 - 6. Boys 11 - 5, Redskins 9 - 7, Giants 7 - 9.
