  1. I see the mets going after a big bat if i'd have to say i'd guess holliday cause the rockies are also looking to make changes before the deadline.

Blake is a option, Bay is a long shot because the Pirates are asking so much but who knows they gave up Nady and Marte for a portion of what they really wanted.  Holliday won't happen, Raul Ibanez has a good chance. And Adam Dunn maybe but not likely. I would say that Blake and Ibanez have the best chance of being acquired

  3. They might as well thoroughlly empty out the farm and trade Martinez too. With no one else down there, Martinez isn't doing them any good.

    Go for it...get Holiday and win it all.

  6. The Rockies already said their keeping Holliday for the rest of the season...They'll prolly look for someone who they don't have to give up alot for.

  8. My gut and baseball knowledge tells me that the Mets will acquire Bay in the next few days.

  9. Any of those targets will cause the Mets to part ways with their #1 prospect Fernando Martinez, which is not likely.

    Right now the Mets are doing well and a move isn't likely before the trade deadline.

    It all depends on Church and he seems to be feeling a lot better now.

  10. The Mets are not trading top prospects away.  So cross off Holliday, Dunn, and Bay.  Blake and Ibanez MIGHT be within reach, without giving up the farm.

    With Ryan Church on his way back, Fernando Tatis tearing the cover off the ball, and Endy Chavez a capable defensive fill-in who hits well when he doesn't play regularly, I don't think the Mets need to nail anyone else.
