Question:

Now that all the tallies are in, it appears Gov. Palin had a viewship that exceeded?

Barack Obama's 40 million to his 38 million. His was anticipated for six months, hers, a little over six days, at their respective conventions. Is this further evidence that the tactics the Obama camp used against Hillary and are now trying to use against Palin are failing? Do you think people are beginning to see the biased reporting in the MSM against Palin and the bias of the news media is starting to really backfire? What say you?

  1. palin have less experience that is the crucial part.

  2. Your question is confusing, it should be noted that Obama did get more viewers than Palin, but it's impressive that Palin came so close.

To be fair, a large amount of Palin's viewers were Democrats who had never seen her speak before and this was their first chance.  Whereas Obama's speech had mostly Democrats and Independents with few Republicans because they had all the chances they wanted to see him over the last few years.  I'm not making this up, see pew research.

You can also be fair and show how Palin's ratings blew Biden's out of the water.  Or you can consider that the DNC ratings overall blew the RNC out of the water.

There are many points of view here, but I think the huge ratings overall are a good thing for America, it's good for us to be paying attention.  I'd just like to see a little fact checking done.

  3. I say you need to get over yourself.  If by tactics you mean hard work, skill and determination I hope you do see it.  As far as the media is concern I see bias too but it's about the better story.  I don't know anyone whose trusting the media these days.

  4. People wanted to see the woman who talks as if she from the Fargo movie and her home life reminds them of a Jerry Springer episode.  Jerry Springer gets high ratings too.

  5. That was a chance for her to introduce herself to the world. Nobody knew anything about her. I'm sure many people were curious. Obama, by contrast, had been laying down those speeches for months.

  6. I think it was only a one million viewer difference - 39 million to 39 million; but Obama's speech was broadcast on four additional networks.  Yes, I think the media has been unusually harsh on Palin, and there could be a backlash - but no politician ever wins by running against the obvious liberal bias in the media.  He wins when he finds a way to use the media to his advantage DESPITE their bias.

  7. No..because no one knew her and wanted to see what she was about - half of the people I talked to and have seen post said she is condecending and has a whining voice and can't stand her

ROTFLMAO!!!  I'll have to write that one down!!!

  9.   Obama is the consummate politician-showman: all style no substance. The media voted for Obama a long time ago and now they are bending over backwards to crown him. They media is so pathetically enamored with the empty suit that Obama represents that they will say anything ( attack Palin's 17 yr old daughter over her misfortunes) and hide anything ( Joe Biden's issue of lack of integrity as evidence by his having to drop out of the 1988 Presdential race because of plagiarism).

Yes, I do feel the media takes us for fools, but now I feel it is backfiring big time on their clueless darling, Obama.

  10. People are paranoid that they might be called racist, maybe they would rather be sexist. It seems like you would be accused of one or the other these days. It's stupid to call people racist/sexist all the time and I don't think some of the accusers even know what it means.
