  1. i sure hope so. i love andy!!!

  2. I would absolutly love him 2, hes my 3rd fav so dont think I wudnt want him 2 but... I just dont think hes match fit enuf after his shoulder injury and hes still struiggling a bit so no. I think this Simons guy has a chance tho, riding on confidnce. He also beat Blake last week. I would love 2 see someone other than djok or rafa take it!

  3. He certainly has a good chance.  Tursonov (sp?) who beat him at Wimbledon is out and as you said Federer is out.  I'd definitely pick him as the favorite to get to the finals now.

  4. I hate to say it but Andy Roddick is not anywhere near Rafa and Roger and then again nowhere near Novak. The rankings do not do justice in conveying how far these 3 are from the rest! I am no ANdy hater lol we need characters like him but his game is predictable now. Sure he could get to the final now the draw has opened out but I still see it unlikely.

  5. andy still wont make it

  6. I hope Andy can make it to the final although it's not going to be easy.

He just doesn't have enough weapons to be a consistent threat though. He's had years to develop a half-way decent volley and return of serve to no avail.

More and more players are serving bigger these days so everyone is getting used to returning bigger serves (Andy's biggest asset).

He needs to be more consistent and develop more weapons in his game.

All the big successful players have multiple weapons in their game such as a down the line shot. Andy doesn't and lots of players can out-rally him.

  7. Andy will have to contend with Rafa and Nole....

  8. Here's the story. According to one of my coaches from a tennis camp, he told us about how he met McEnroe. McEnroe told him that Andy Roddick needs to fix his strategy; he whacks the ball harder and harder, even if the opponent hits it back to him, and he eventually loses. This is due to the fact that he is not using smarts and isn't placing balls in the right places, like Djokovic or Nadal. (The whole point of him telling us this story was that we don't need to worry about hitting humongous winners all the time, and that we should be consistent with hitting.)

So in response to your question, I do not believe Andy Roddick will win or even improve until he fixes his strategy.

  9. Probably

  10. maybe

  11. Hey Anna :) ! What a match with simon/federer, did u watch? Absolute shocker, cant believe it !!! Roddick does have a great chance to make the final now, his serve is rock solid especially for hard it suits him well. Assuming his shoulder injury isnt bothering him he can do anything :) ! Which is quite a worry :P ! Watch out Rafa... haha If they both make the final well the better man wins on the day :) ! Good luck to both.

  12. Yes, I think Andy will make it to the finals and will have a very good chance of winning it too. Nadal and Djokovic will fight it out in the semis and will most likely be a long tireless battle which gives advantage Roddick.
