Now that the Angels Acquire Texeira,will they win the World series?

Yeah Ironic that you forgot to name probably there best pitcher overall-- Santana.

But as far as winning the series, they need to figure out how to handle boston in the playoffs.

As a Yankee Fan, I just hope we dont meet them in the playoffs. Even in seasons when they were worse they have owned us in the playoffs.

The Angels do currently have best record in baseball & are running away with the AL West but in order to win the World series, they have to find a way to get past the Red Sox in the play offs, something they haven't done to well lately but this year, it just might be different

They're good enough to win.  No doubt.  But a lot can happen in 7 games, never mind two months.

The Angels are now the complete package of power, speed, defense, and pitching.  The only teams that can give them a run in the post season will be the Yankees (power) or the Rays (speed and pitching).  After all the moves and intense spotlight on the Red Sox, I just don't think this is their year.

I gotta say, I like their chances.  As a Red Sox fan, I've been watching this Manny foolishness with considerable displeasure- here comes the trade deadline and is the Sox front office out looking for middle relief?  No, they're trying to negotiate a deal to get rid of one of the best bats in the game.  Good for us.  

Meanwhile, the Angels, already strong, get stronger with Texeira, the Yankees are making great trades left and right, and Red Sox nation gets the sinking feeling we were so familiar with for 86 years...

Sorry, just needed to get that off my chest.  

I was so impressed with the Angels in their series against Boston- they manufacture runs like nobody's business.  Still, a lot can happen...

How can they not???  Probably the best pitching staff in the majors, starters and bullpen.  With the addition of Texeira, they get more HR's and RBI's.  I'm not sure anyone can stop them now.
