250 million dollars the tomato industry lost due to this scare. It was not even tomatoes that were the cause. Another industry forced to suffer over a scam. Like the Auto Makers being forced to comply and invest in the global warming scam. Its not fair. They should all be able to recoup their cash.

  2. Sorry, I don't know where you get your news, but there has been no denial or confirmation yet as to the cause.  As some of the people who got sick DID in fact eat raw tomato products, it can't be ruled out yet.

  3. The U.S. citizen because the price of tomatoes will be passed to the consumer.

  4. Maybe they should have spent that cash making sure their tomatoes didn't have salmonella.
