I have been asking Hall of Fame questions for the past week about this very topic. I agree with everyone that Oates should have gotten in and am surprised he isn't As well as Pavel Bure,and Tom Barrasso

No one has mentioned Dino Ciccarelli?  

1) Although his is only in the top 50 in scoring, he is 13th all time in goals.

The following hall of fame players have scored fewer:

Kurri, Bossy, Lafleur, Francis, Richard

2) He is one of the few people who top Gretzky in any offensive categories, power play goals.

3) He averaged just under a point per game and just over a PIM per game.

Pavel Bure

400 plus goals in a little over 700 games with half coming in the "dead puck" era

but with Stevie Y, Brett Hull, Luc Robitallie and Brian Leetch eligible for next year it might take considerable amount of time before Bure gets the nod.

He did retire in his early 30's and with many greats with lengthy careers their numbers right now look more but I think when more players from Bure's era start to retire his impact and numbers won't be ignored
