  1. YAWN

  2. I think most of us expect immigrants to follow our laws when they come here.

Mormons also took the question of whether religion allows one to break marriage laws to the Supreme Court in the 1890s in Reynolds vs US. The Mormons lost. There is NO excuse for breaking laws.

Given the exposure that Mormon style polygamy has had in the media lately, there are very few people who look kindly on any form of polygamy today, and NO politicians are going to change the laws.

  3. I would hope so.

  4. Pencil..........what did you get caught doing?

  5. Utah is arguably the state that's toughest on polygamy in the Union.

The website you cite is incorrect.  Warren Jeffs is FLDS and not Mormon.  They are two very different groups.

Mormons can't be polygamists and they haven't done so for well over 100 years.

Polygamy is illegal in all 50 states no matter what your religious beliefs.  These people were breaking the law....it doesn't matter that they're Muslim.

  6. interesting, but i doubt it.

  7. There is nothing the LDS can do about polygamy. It's up to the Law to do that. And the state of Utah is represented by more than just the Mormons.

And aren't Muslims who live in the US supposed to only have one wife, too?
