    They're exploring the possiblility.  I doubt that the NBA team will help the effort though.  Anyone who can afford an NBA ticket will drive the 75 mph turnpike.

Not Tulsa, not yet, Amtraks Heartland Flyer Service is awaiting a descision on connections to Kansas City via Newton, KS,  It has been discussed in numerous "town hall" sessions to have a rail service from OKC to Tulsa and KC, KC won the first bout and with gas prices at 4.00 a gallon I wouldnt doubt service to Tulsa beginning by mid-2009, The KC service will most likely happen late this year to early next year.

  3. well, there should be multiple trains per day between tulsa and okc anyway, irregardless of any sports team.  

    but, since the funding is not there, i guess it wont happen for a while.  hopefully someday, the feds and the state will choose to fund amtrak more, then we can see more trains.

  4. No - it's just an NBA team.  Now if it was an NFL team - then maybe.
