the character of the individual in the US?

Or will the character of the individual American simply go further acidic and bitter, like the British character suffered (and suffers) at the fall of their empire? Certainly it is a matter of choice, and now must be the best time to select.

Sub-question: Now that American capitalism is overtaken, do you think the American voter will see the error and move more to the kinder, more socialistic patterns of the victorious economies?

This is possibly one recession and your calling it the end of capitalism. You must be very young because economic slowdowns have hit the US time and time again. Will the economy and business be different because of the global economy you bet but that will just be a new form of capitalism now it terms of America going more to the left maybe but it would not go that far worst case would be really high tax's and free health care  oohhh scary
