No, I don't think very many people are that short-sighted.  Gas is still expensive, and the price still has nowhere to go but up.  Global demand continues to incease with China and India's populations becoming more affluent, and production is not going to increase by any significant amount.

I think most people have learned that gas guzzlers are a bad idea by now.

The traffic is up almost double what it was a few months ago when gas was $.75 higher than it is now here.

the president doesn't control gasoline, each one of the posters here does, to make this kind of claim shows lack of education.

People make decisions based on what they see and know.  There are people that require Hummers to do their job or to make them feel good.  Do you think people will ever stop doing a more destructive thing called DRINKING BOTTLED WATER?
