  1. you should read the whole story on the link you provided, it said ALL RADIOS WILL CONTINUE TO WORK.

Your old Sirius radio will still work for whatever they decide to carry, but unless they move some things around you won't get XM stuff and vice versa.  In the not to distant future, a new radio to handle both formats will be required.  They are restricted by law from raising rates for 3 years , but that doesn't stop them from creating the new dual recevier serice and establishing a new rate for them.  I expect a lot of less popular channels will be dropped and some but not all of the more popular ones will be carried on both systems, but they are now a monopoly and can do anything they want without consulting with the consumer.

  3. ok, the way i understand what i have read is this:

    both sirius and xm radios will continue to work. but in the future, if you want to get sirius and xm channels you will need to upgrade to a new reciever. i think thats right... hope so.
