now dismantle the barriers between the falls and shankill roads and allow the communities to interact or wll they remain seperate communities?

Only the local communities can create a situation in which this can be done in safety.  The paramilitaries have stood down, but there are still thugs and idiots who wish to keep old hatreds alive - we have seen one or two of them posting recently here on Yahoo.  It looks as if, in many places, the communities from which they come are increasingly disowning them.

If the barriers cannot come down safely yet, I hope it will be  soon.
