A few days ago I posted a question on how we all think Aaron will do. So, after you've seen (maybe) the Packer-Bengal game, where he played in the 1st qtr. what do you think? Personally, i think he did fantastic considering the amount of pressure he's under. A lot of the incompletions were do to the WRs, as well as that pick.

  1. He's been riding the bench for 3 years, he should be in the driver seat as far as knowledge goes. It's all about execution now; can he make all the throws? Judging from those passes in the first preseason game, there shouldn't be much of a drop off. He doesn't have to go out and be Brett Favre? all he has to do is not burn the house down. Get the ball to Driver & Jennings, hand off to Grant (or Jackson), and get off the field and let the defense be that top 5 D. Their schedule isn't that hard, their toughest opponents are the: Colts, Cowboys, Titans, Saints and Jags.

  2. I definitely see the potential.  He was very poised in the pocket.  Very confident and appeared very accurate.  Some of those passes he threw should have been caught by the WRs.  The more he plays, the better he should get.  He is a player that may have a break out season.

Thumbs up to those who agree.

  3. IDK maybe a little more seasoning. That game was boring except for Chad acting crazy and the touchdown by James Jones without his helmet.

  4. The "experts" say that the packers will have a below average season being as though Rodgers will miss at least 4 games this season do to injury.

I saw with my own two eyes precision passing, he has shown the ability to stay in the pocket and utilize his vision very well.  EVERY one of his passes were right on the money, the ones that dropped were do to poor hands.  He's an intelligent, strong armed, agile quarterback who already knows the speed of the game and will in my opinion have an estimated solid 9 win season.

he had a solid opening and he'll improve every game, hopefully proving doubters wrong this year.

  5. One game in pre-season is not barely close enough to even determine if the guy can play the position.

  6. I think he'll be pretty solid. He played like I thought he would. They have a great system and a lot of talent at receiver and the running game is picking up steam. He was cultivated in the perfect conditions, high pick talent who was given three years to learn behind one of the best. I actually could see him making the Pro Bowl. Go Rodgers!

  7. I think he will be a decent starting QB for the Packers this year. I wouldnt be shocked if the ended up at .500 or higher.

Just give him a couple games to get his composure and he will be fine. Just look out for him next year. If he plays as well as he did in college, they will be back in the playoofs soon.

  8. he was good,  if he play like this in the season maybe the packers have a hope of  playoffs! but all is in the control of the pressure! because he is the  NEW GREEN BAY PACKERS QB!

  9. i think we've just seen him play his first preseason game

and that's all i think, because the first preseason game means squadoosh...the next two games will be the real tests, he'll be playing first team competition longer and will go deeper into the game

  10. I really don't put much into Preseason, the 90's Bill never did well in preseason and went to 4 straight SB,that being said I'll wait to see when it starts for real.

  11. ask any espn analyst, they talk about him 24/7. they talk about his posture, his future, they predict where he is headed. im tired of it, ive seen his highlights vs bengals like 50 times. annoys the c**p out of me

  12. I've always thought he'd do okay. He's no Brett Favre, but he'll manage and do fine. I'd still expect to see the Packers in the play offs.

  13. Its still way too early to tell. I know the Packers have alot of talent around him at WR and have a good line so I think he will do fine until he faces a tough defense.  I dont really question his ability as much as I question his durability. I do feel that Rodgers will be the Packers starting QB for this year and maybe next, then watch out for Brian Brohm to take over and not give the job up as soon as he has the system down when Rodgers gets hurt.

  14. we'll talk after he plays an away game....

  15. He'll do good, cause he has a good team around him.
