For the last few days, all that the have been talking about is how Obama has done sooo well getting the nomination because there is "so much racism in our country." Now that we have Palin, a female, as our vp, will the liberal democrats stop saying that we are bigoted goobers?

  1. Dems are always screaming that the reps are discrimtory while reps have done more for women and minorities than they are. We appointed the second black man to the supreme court. we appointed the first black man and woman to sectary of state. Reps are the ones that opposed slavery.  None of the parties are racist. it's just that dems try so hard to prove themselves as nonracist they come off idiotic.  we didn't elect her just because she's a woman. that's insulting. that's means she wasn't qualifed and just picked because she's a woman. she's more than qualified for Vice. ALASKA MATTER. it's still a STATE in the Union.

  2. NOPE their judgement never stops.....

  3. Who is this "we" you speak of?  The people didn't choose her.

And if I was to go along with your argument, the same could be said about Obama.  He couldn't possibly be racist because he chose a white man to run with him.

  4. Funny how you think that this move has really fooled anyone...Mccain has a history of making sexest comments including the fact that men should make more than women for the same job and a woman v.p. will not cover that up. The world is smarter than this and political tricks like this one are not going to get past anyone. Nice try though. And yes, Matt, change is coming because obama and mccain differ by 95% on issues...if this isnt change what is??? Mccain who votes 96% the same as bush??????Yes thats definitely some change.

  5. You can be racist without being sexist.

  6. No.

Because McCains only reason to pick Palin is that she looks good and is of the same gender as Hillary Clinton.

If he wants to pick a woman, he could´ve picked Kay Hutchinson, she is way more qualified. Or Olympia Snowe, if he wanted to increase his bipartisan appeal.

  7. that is a token v****a.

she does fall in line with the neocons, as one blogger put it, she is cheney in a dress.

  8. I sincerely doubt it. In their world, if you say something loud enough and frequently enough, it becomes your truth, in spite of all evidence to the contrary. I'm not going to set myself up for disappointment by expecting intellectual honesty from them.

  9. Obama fought his way to clinch the democratic nomination.  I would hope that race was not a part of the picture for those voting for or against him.

Palin was selected by one person, McCain.  Your candidates are not discriminatory.  They are opportunistic.

(Both parties have some weirdos that we all should be embarassed about.  Just like, most people have a weird uncle they're embarassed about.  But we're all family, and we're all Americans.)
