Will they now start to prosecute the paedophiles instead of hiding and protecting them so that they can carry on for life?

  1. Dont hold your breath, on this  as they do nothing but cover up. I heard about it years ago, when it used to happen to a friend of mine... in her own home, and in front of her Parents. My Mother let her come and stay with us, and then she joined the RAF, and built a wonderful career for herself, and never went back home again.

  2. The Australian courts have tried and found guilty a number of priests over the last 8 years

  3. They should have been de-frocked! instead some were moved!

  4. Catholic Women Priests can remove tendencies of male pedophilia by filling ranks of The Priest Hood. As to prosecution I thought it already happened unless new cases have been brought to light.  There were women priests ordained in 1995.

Perhaps a major push to get them into it could help. That is women Catholic Priests. Other than that could suggest abolishing The Priest Hood altogether and instituting Open Air Churches or a court case against the worse apects of both Science and God. For Science Nuclear weapons. PerhapsThe Environment and not Religion or Reason could fill the needs of people instead of the others. Yes study of Environment is scientific but meaning understood.

  5. Before the Popes apology is dismissed, I ask all fair minded readers to check the text of his apology at the link below.

I feel that for the first time paedophiles are being identified because the "cover ups" simply do not work any more. Women priests are NOT the answer, However I think that celibacy should be a voluntary not compulsory requirement for the priesthood. This would allow married priests to introduce a little fresh air into the cloistered hinterland.

  6. He didn't apologise to the proper people, he copped out and mumbled something to some guys in frocks it wasn't what anyone with an ounce of common sense would call an apology.
