If they don't get past the first round this upcoming season they need to just blow the team up and start from scratch. For a team to have all that talent and to constantly get put out in the first round every postseason just baffles me.

Rockets have the chance to go further, but it is really too early to say - don't you recognize that the All-Star break is a watershed? There are tons on intangibles in front of us and now we have not even watched a pre-season game.

For Patrick Ewing Jr., there is a question on his true position - he is somewhat a pseudo-PF because he tried to transform himself into a SF package but failed - and he is not a lock in the roster because the coaching staff are high on another tweener in Mike Harris. Therefore, he is ready for a NBDL trip, and I doubt he could even be a solid rotation player at this stage.

We should also talk about another subject in this trade - Sean Singletary. This is a salary-matching add-on, and so far he doesn't prove himself to be a reliable contributor in NBA, and Aaron Brooks is a much better backup PG than we think.

I don't think Houston will make it out of the first round this summer. Yao is a fragile player who could get injured at any time. So, I really don't see much progress happening.
