I guess we really are approaching the peak of hurricane season.

Alright I need to ask a question.

Where do you think Ike will strike?

  1. Hmm, if not Florida, the Carolinas or Virginia. Or, it might never even touch land and veer off to the northeast and just be a marine nuisance.

    If it hits either of those states, it will probably be a weak to mid-strength Cat 1. The waters aren't as favorable in that area, hence the slow increase in strength. Whereas with Gustav, he had a perfect opportunity to strengthen and do so quickly (barring the fact that the Caribbean islands slightly hindered its strengthening). Only time will tell, though.

  2. idk... to early =P ooh and don't forget about THREE others forming right behind him! >.< 'Josephine' [[the next hurricane]] is gunna form in like a day... =/

    yay =/

  3. It's way too early to tell. They may have an idea of where it'll strike by the end of this week when it's near the Bahamas. I'm guessing somewhere on the east coast of the U.S.. This one might possibly be the major hurricane that Long Island,NY gets hit with every 70 years and the last major hurricane was 70 years ago. But it's too early to tell.

  4. Tropical Storm Ike
