Now what no more band?

ok so you graduated high school how do you keep playing your instrument when there is no band? I am going to a community college but they don't really have a band that competes what do you do?

Why don't you join a drum and bugle corp?  They compete and if I remember correctly you can participate up to age 24.  Many of my student's participated while attending college as well.    I don't know where you live but here is a site to assist you.  It lists corps by state.. Yes, I really missed marching after I graduated too but jumped right into acquiring my music degrees so it kept me busy.  Go for it!!!

Depending on what instrument you play, you may be able to join an amateur community orchestra or band in your town or area.  I know the ones in my area welcome amateur musicians from the community to join them and they put on a couple of concerts a year.

Go and look for a volunteer band, local adult bands.

you could just play in your spare time. or maybe start your own community band for other college band kids that don't have a band to play in. luckily, where i live, colleges don't compete, but they still have marching band for fun.
