Now what would happen if you used insecticides to kill off all insects?If you burned all dead leaves?

  1. If all insects were to suddenly die, then the insect-eating small

    animals (bats, birds, frogs) would die, and the animals that eat them would die.

    We wouldn't have the food from insect pollinated plants (apple trees, corn, potatoes).

    When the flowering plants died out the animals that ate them would then die.

    Insects break down dead animals, so we would have decomposing dead things and animal droppings would be lying around.

    Soil would compact and not be aerated. Populations of weeds are often controlled or held in balance by insects.  

    We wouldn't have silk.

    I'm not sure what you mean by burning all dead leaves.
