  1. Not sure what new law you are talking about.

    In the USA broadcast TV stations must cease analog transmitting on Feb. 17, 2009, and broadcast in digital only.

    Your TV set will continue to accept the signal from the VCR. Any TV with an analog input or an analog tuner to use the RF signal will work.

    Many other countries have plans in place or have already switched to digital only.
