  1. So the man is POW big deal, so is my brother. I wouldn't vote for him for president because of it. What makes he such a great leader. If he where a great leader he wouldn't have been caught in the first place.

  2. I cried like a true patriot.

When I was a POW all I did was lie like a dog to the guards.

  3. That man is the greatest American.  I cried.

  4. John McCain said he was once a young, self-centered, brash, know-it-all.  He might have added, "Does this remind you of anyone else who is running for President?"  McCain's experience in Hanoi caused a transformation in him.  In short, it enabled him to see a cause higher than himself, and led him to devote the remainer of his life to public service.  He has been a fierce reformer ever since.  Perhaps someday Barack Obama will someday have an experience that causes him to grow up, but it hasn't happened yet.  Frankly, I think we need an adult in the White House.

  5. I thought McCain's speech was pretty good.  Granted, he isn't the great public speaker that Obama is.  However, maybe sometimes you don't need to be flashy if you actually have something to say.

  6. i wonder how many found the irony that they were crying for something this same man thinks is ok for our governement to do to others.

  7. LOL

  10. Nothing to cry about, and lets see if you could even wear the uniform before you talk about someone who broke under real torture.

  11. Tears of joy (for Obama)

    John McCain...

    War Hero, P.O.W., Sellout.

  12. I was very moved by McCain's story about what happened to him in Vietnam. Politics aside, McCain is a true American hero and I do not question his character. But being a war hero and former POW, does not automatically mean one is suitable to be President.

  13. He is a hero, and you should be ashamed of yourself, I am.
