Is there any way a neutron can hit an electron during nuclear fission, and if so what would happen?

  1. there's no reason it can't happen, although the small size of the elctron makes it less likely than other collisions. If the neutron has sufficient energy the electron can be knocked free of its orbit and fly away. This can cause that atom (the electron was attached to) to become unstable.

  2. It happens but the consequences are negliable.

  3. It is possible but its not very interesting. Nuclear fission is a nuclear process not atomic, this means that electrons don't play a role in fission.

At most the neutron will eject the electron and ionize the atom. The electron is not of significant mass to deflect the neutron.
