  1. When most people think of non-renewable sources, they think of Fossil Fuels.  However, they do use up a fuel which is no longer being produced by the Earth.... therefore it's NON-RENEWABLE.

  2. Breeder reactors produce more fissile material than they consume.

I'm not sure if that qualifies as "renewable", though.

  3. It is NOT  renewable! Anything that uses a 'fuel' to make power isn't renewable. Wind, tidal, solar, and hydro are examples of renewable energy. No fuel is needed to make the power. With nukes you have the problem of disposal of the radioactive waste!

  4. yes it is renewable energy

  5. **********************

I like to think of nuclear as a "Non-Revocable" energy source.

Once you start  using it, it never goes away!

  6. Very renewable.

Why do you say it is dangerous? What does that mean? Is it dangerous to drive? Is it dangerous to breath polluted air? Is it dangerous to fly? Is it dangerous to live in flood prone area? Is it dangerous to live in an area that has fires? Is it dangerous to live where earthquakes are? Is it dangerous to live where there are tornados? Is it dangerous to live in any large city?

More people have been killed by any one of those than Nuclear Power. Emmissions from coal plants are much more dangerous.

Why is it dangerous? Just because people have been brainwashed.

  7. Since it consumes a limited natural resource technically it its not renewable. However, with fuel reprocessing and other newer technologies the fuel is practically inexhaustible.
