Nudity in St. Maarten beaches?

Is it true that there is a lot of nudity on the beaches of St.Maarten?

We visited in April.  One end of Orient Beach is officially nude.  We spent one day there & found too busy for our liking.  My informal count was most folks there were 50 or older.  We also visited Bay Rouge & Bay Longue and were nude at both.  Both were less crowded (by far) but lots more younger folks our age.

Yup and most of it isn't as pretty as you might hope!

On the french side of the island (St Martin) they have  clothing optional beaches. The most famous is Orient Beach. Club Orient Resort (clothing optional resort) is located on this beach (southern end)

On the dutch side (St Maarten) you will find some topless sunbathing but much more discreetly done then on the french side.
